Google AdWords adverts get better
Google’s trend of moving from being a search engine to being an ad broker, took one more step today, when Google Adwords ads got bigger.
It’s a simple change: Adwords text ads got bigger. AdWords users have spent years getting their message across using a format of a headline of 25 characters and 2 description lines of 30 characters. The new extended format is 2 headlines of 30 characters and a description of 80 characters. There’s also better options for customising the displayed link – which never has been the same as the actual URL of the page you will go to on clicking.
Update your ads.
If you use AdWords, you need to update all your ads. If you get left behind then your click rates could fall significantly. (Of course, our client’s don’t need to worry about this.)
